Mr. Angles has always looked for ways to strengthen his practice, which led him early on to explore the value of pre-trial focus groups. He quickly discovered how much insight mock trials provide, while recognizing the problem of confirmation bias when attorneys conduct their own mock trials. After purchasing his office building in 2013, he began implementing focus groups for his own cases, and that experience gave rise to Focus KC. At that time, there were very few resources in the region dedicated to trial-focused research. To better understand what other attorneys needed, he began interviewing other trial lawyers, which laid the foundation for Focus KC, LLC. Since 2016, Focus KC, LLC has continued to grow, providing in-depth mock trial and focus group studies designed specifically for civil and criminal defense trial lawyers.
